Start with what you know about traditional sports

When it comes to practicing traditional sports, what do you think of?

Scheduled practice days, running drills, analyzing strategies... These aren't exclusive to traditional sports practices, but esports practices as well.

When you want to run a practice with your esports team, you need to first discuss with them scheduling and when practices are to be held. As with most after-school extra-curriculars, you may choose to have your practices after school in the school computer lab, or maybe your students would prefer a later practice time in the evening on their home computers.

Once you have decided on when your team will practice, a schedule for each practice should be created with a list of topics you want to cover in each practice. This can help with time management and it helps students to know what they should expect from each practice. Another way to manage topics covered in each practice is to dedicate each practice to a different topic. Here are some examples of a practice schedule calendar.
